Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TraceDev (“the Service”), operated by TraceDev. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use TraceDev.

Your account

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

• Keep your email and authentication details confidential.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
• One person per account; don’t share credentials.

Acceptable use

We want TraceDev to stay a focused place to learn. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its content.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, abuse, overload, or disrupt our infrastructure.
• Use the Service to harass others or share unlawful material.
• Circumvent usage limits, including AI tutor quotas.

Content & license

You retain ownership of the code and solutions you write on TraceDev. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute it back to you as part of operating the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you submit.

The lessons, problems, visualizations, and software that make up TraceDev are and remain the exclusive property of TraceDev and its licensors, protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for learning, and you may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

AI tutor

The AI tutor is provided as a learning aid. Its responses are generated automatically and may be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for verifying anything important, and you should not rely on it as professional advice.

Tutor usage may be subject to fair-use limits depending on your plan.

Subscriptions & billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

• Prices are shown before checkout and may change with notice.
• New subscriptions include a 7-day money-back guarantee: email support@tracedev.io within 7 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full.
• After the 7-day window, except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Termination

You may stop using TraceDev and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, without prior notice or liability, if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the platform.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that it will meet your specific learning goals.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TraceDev will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Canada for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service.

Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we’ll notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
